This policy applies to anyone who visits careandcables.ca, submits a request on book.careandcables.ca, or submits an inquiry through our contact form.
Care and Cables is a tech services and network auditing business operating in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. This policy is written in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The only personal information we collect is what you voluntarily provide through our contact form or booking platform:
We do not collect account credentials or any other personal data. Payments are handled via bank cheque, Interac e-transfer, PayPal, or Stripe.
Booking data is stored in a database hosted on servers located in the United States. This data is retained for a short period following your appointment and then permanently deleted.
Your contact information is collected solely to respond to your service inquiry or quote request. We do not use it for marketing, newsletters, or any purpose beyond the conversation you initiated.
When you submit the contact form, your submission is verified by Cloudflare and then delivered to our inbox via Resend, a transactional email service. Neither Cloudflare nor Resend retains your data beyond the delivery of that message, it lands in our email inbox and nowhere else.
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data - pages visited, general geographic region, and device type. This data is aggregated and not tied to any personally identifiable information. It is used only to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can opt out of GA4 tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Certificates of destruction are issued as PDF documents and delivered directly to the signing client. These certificates are retained solely between Care and Cables and the client - they are not stored on or processed through any third-party platform. You are responsible for retaining your certificate for your own compliance records.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. We do not maintain a database of contact form submissions, and any analytics gathered are anonymized results used with the express purpose of improving the user experience.
Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is relevant to the service relationship - for example, while a job is being arranged or followed up on. We do not maintain long-term records of inquiries - any internal records of completed jobs contain no personally identifying information and are used to track service metrics (job type, scope, outcomes).
You have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or request that it be deleted. To make any such request, contact us at info@careandcables.ca. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
